Animal Relocation Program Manager

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Many of NM's animal shelters, rescue organizations and volunteers relocate a significant number of dogs and cats to destinations both in and out of state in an effort to increase the animals' chances of finding homes. This is a one-year, FT position made possible through a generous grant from the ASPCA®. Responsible for a project with the goal of increasing the efficiency, capacity and effectiveness of animal relocation efforts in NM.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Focus on developing systems that will: have the greatest impact on quality placement, ensure conditions that support optimal animal health and well-being; improve animal health at both source and destination shelters; ensure more streamlined and humane transportation methods; provide improved follow-up and reporting; be documented through operational manuals that can be replicated.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Undergraduate degree preferred, but will consider relevant experience in lieu of degree. Experience in systems analysis and/or process management and 1-3 years animal relocation experience preferred.
