Animal Cruelty Case Manager

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Field all calls to the Animal Protection of New Mexico (APNM) Cruelty Hotline as well as all calls to the NM Attorney General's Office Animal Cruelty Task Force Hotline; follow up on animal cruelty cases received through the hotlines including case investigative research, the making of appropriate referrals to law enforcement and other agencies; occasional site visits to reported case locations throughout the state.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Coordination with APNM staff, especially during staff production meetings; coordination with the Attorney General's Animal Cruelty Task Force representatives.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Qualified applicants must have: interest in/experience w/animal protection issues; excellent written/verbal communication skills & time management; detail-oriented & thorough, problem-solver, self-motivated; can work w/diverse constituency; highly computer literate; work well under pressure. Should have experience/training in customer service; familiar w/ NM & its communities. Preferred candidates: knows local/state animal laws.
This position requires presence in the APNM downtown office
