Main Areas of Responsibility:
Join an AmeriCorps crew working on conservation projects throughout the Middle Rio Grande region of New Mexico. We are enrolling for Day Crews (weekdays 8am-5:30pm), as well as Camping Crews that will work a combination of in-town Day work (weekdays 8am-5:30pm) and overnight backcountry Camping projects (8 days in the field, followed by 6 days off.) Camping Crew applicants must have a flexible schedule and be available for out-of-town trips up to 8 days.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Crews will work to safely complete trail maintenance, scientific monitoring, and prescribed burn fire projects on public lands. Additional projects may include historic preservation, disaster relief, watershed restoration or other community improvement work. All Corpsmembers will receive both personal and professional development training in topics such as First Aid/CPR, financial management, and public speaking skills.
