Main Areas of Responsibility:
RMYC is hiring conservation crew members for a 5.5 month season (March-August) for both ABQ and Taos office locations.
Nine person crews will travel to remote work sites to camp for extended periods. ABQ crews will be involved in trail maintenance projects in the Gila NF. Taos crews will be involved in forestry-related projects in the Carson and Santa Fe NF. Additional projects may include historic preservation, watershed restoration, or other community improvement work.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
All crew members will receive training in trail building techniques, hand-tool use, LNT ethics, First Aid/CPR, Mental Health First Aid, conflict resolution, effective communication, and public speaking. CMs will receive a living stipend of $1360/month, and an AmeriCorps Education Award of $2,865.
