Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Rocky Mountain Youth Corps is now seeking 1 Corpsmember to join its Fall conservation season. RMYC is a youth development organization that inspires young adults to make a difference in themselves and their community through training and team service in an outdoor environment. Join an 8-person AmeriCorps crew working in the Albuquerque area. The current opening is for a full-time position that will include both day-work and backcountry camping. You must be 18-25 years old to apply.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Crews will complete projects such as trail construction/maintenance, habitat restoration, erosion control and other conservation projects. Service will incorporate collaboration with local and national agencies including the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Indian Affairs, and local Tribal Agencies. All Corps members will receive both personal and professional development training.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Season duration: ASAP through February 2nd. Work schedule will be a combination of:
• Day-work shift: Tuesday-Thursday, every other Monday 8:00am-5:30pm
• Camping shift: Monday - Monday, 8 days on & 6 days off (concluding before official start of winter)
*Participants are expected to attend occasional community service and training days on weekends.
• $760 biweekly / 675 hours / up to $2255.54
