Main Areas of Responsibility:
New Mexico Kids Matter is part of a complex system created to protect children in foster care. A volunteer is a CASA-Court Appointed Advocate. Our Advocate Coach's provide professional staff support to CASAs. The Advocate Coach's main responsibility is to monitor and address volunteer’s growth in skills and advocacy on their cases, ensuring that children assigned to the CASA program receive appropriate advocacy services.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Assign, prepare, and distribute case documentation; maintain case files in office/Optima; attend court hearings as needed; process Judges Dockets; provide coaching for advocates on an ongoing basis; coach advocate through court report process; elevate issues in a timely manner to Advocate Manager; attend staff meetings; attend seminars and assist with coordination if requested; provide office coverage as assigned; and other duties as may be assigned.
