Advocate Coach

Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Advocate Coach provides professional staff support to Advocates, ensuring that children involved with the CASA program receive sound advocacy and early permanency planning. The Advocate Coach is responsible for all aspects of coaching and coordination of Advocate cases.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Provide coaching for advocates on an ongoing basis;
Actively coach using tools provided
Coach advocate through court report process
Elevate issues in a timely to Advocate Manager
Assist/attend meetings/court with advocate as needed
Be available primarily M-F for advocate and other times and days as needed.
Assign, prepare, maintain and distribute case documentation
Participate in advocate evaluations
Attend seminars and assist with coordination if requested
Other duties as may be assigned

Other Information/Requirements: 

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in social service-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent communications skills written and oral
• The ability to interact effectively with people in different culture and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Knowledge and understanding of Child Welfare System
