Adult Educator/Program Coordinator

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsible for teaching classes to adults, including curriculum development, lesson planning, and evaluation of student outcomes. Maintains accurate records on all students. Provides oversight and coordination of GED and ESL teachers and program issues as well as recruiting and matching volunteer tutors with students; coordinates substitute teacher coverage for all instructors; communicates with partner agencies

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree required; five years’ experience teaching adults preferred and five years’ minimum of coordinating or supervisory experience required; NM Teaching Licensure and certification in TESOL or bilingual education for ESL preferred; bilingual English/Spanish preferred and intermediate computer competency in MS Office and Windows required. Retired/licensed teachers are encouraged to apply.
