Adoption Clinical Specialist

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Adoption Clinical Specialist participates in the essential functions pertaining to the adoption and post-placement support of infants and older children. Participates in the development and facilitation of trainings, completes pre-placement studies, facilitates adoption related counseling, completes post placement services and document preparation, and provide case management.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

In addition, completes psychosocial assessments, provides short-term adoption related individual, family and group psychotherapy for Kinship, Guardianship and Post-Adopt families statewide, in-person and through telehealth, with the ultimate goal of supporting and maintaining permanency.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Current LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, LMSW, LMHC or other license accepted by the state of New Mexico for the provision of counseling or social work.

Current SAFE Home Study Certification or ability to obtain SAFE Home Study Certification within 60 days of employment.
