Administrative Assistant

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Working directly with the Executive Director and other members of the senior management team, this position's responsibilities include:
o Assist with editing correspondence and administrative documents,
o Assist with drafting and editing of community education materials
o Assist with preparation of reports required by the NMLA Board and management committees
o Calendar management
o Assist in drafting, revision and updating of NMLA policies and administrative forms

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

o Work with senior management staff to facilitate community and client communications with NMLA, including tracking of client grievances
o Assist with registration and travel arrangements for all staff attending training, including tracking all training for reporting purposes
o Assist with the purchasing of supplies for administration and other offices
o Other duties and special projects as assigned

Other Information/Requirements: 

Requirements: Three years’ experience in a non-profit or professional office setting; strong verbal and written communications skills; computer literate; creative self-starter; the ability to manage multiple tasks and build collaborative relationships within the staff. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
