Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsible for monthly accounting work for several clients. Working with MIP accounting software (we train you!) you will download and import bank transactions, process AR & AP, do bank and other account reconciliations, create adjusting entries, and prepare financial statements. Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Strong interpersonal communication skills needed as there will be frequent client dialogue, both written and verbal, to clarify account coding, collect information on new grants, question unusual changes. Must be highly proficient to advanced skill level in Excel including pivot tables and VLookups.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Should have a minimum of AA degree in accounting and BA level or higher is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with at least 1 year in nonprofit organization or a CPA firm. Alternatively, 1 year of solid accounting experience and high GPA performance in a recent accounting academic program.
