Academic Competition Contractors

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Manage and lead an event for high school and middle school students during (5) Regional Academic STEM Competition events and (1) State Finals MESA Day Competition

A. Events are:
1. On Site Design - Bridge Building
2. Prepared Event - Paper Boat
3. Prepared Event - Vehicle Transport

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

1. Meet with Program Coordinator as needed to review and fully understand event.
2. Must be available all day (7AM-5PM) the day of each Design and MESA Day event.
3. Upkeep of materials related to event until completion.
4. Travel is required throughout New Mexico and overnight stays as needed.

Contract will be a flat fee of $1000.00 to be paid upon completion of events as agreed.

Contractor will be reimbursed for mileage and hotel costs.

Dates of Required Events are: Contractor Hire Meeting, Albuquerque – 12/5/11 (3PM-5PM; Design Overview Meeting, Gallup - 1/20/12 (5PM-8PM); West Region Design, Gallup – 1/21/12; North Region Design, Las Vegas – 2/3/12; Central Inner Design, Bernalillo – 2/10/12; Southern Regions Design, Las Cruces – 2/15/15; Central Outer Design, Albuquerque – 2/17/12; State Finals MESA Day – 4/21/12

Closing date is November 28, 2011 at 8AM.
