Main Areas of Responsibility:
Academic Advisor provides educational services and support to program participants. Advisors are responsible for providing academic support to students. They also support to the program coordinator including assistance in managing and collecting activity evaluations, cultivating and maintaining relationships with participants, tutors, parents and school staff.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Meet with students to review academic progress and develop goals; provides participants with academic advising and planning; information about post-secondary options, college entrance exams and financial aid; work with students on financial aid applications; chaperone students on field trips outside of normal working hours; monitor grades; maintain student program files and; document student participation in program activities.
