Main Areas of Responsibility: 

THIS IS A BERNALILLO COUNTY POSITION, NOT UWCNM.
Under the general direction of the Bernalillo County Deputy County Manager and the ABC Community Schools Partnership Board, the Executive Director provides leadership in the development and sustainability of a Community Schools system in Bernalillo County, including development of effective partnerships with APS and diverse stakeholders, grant development, management of initiatives, and overall evaluation reporting.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsible for overseeing the administration, programs, and strategic planning necessary to increase the number of Community Schools in partnership with APS, to promote and make the best use of ABC's collaborative leadership structure, and to manage the operations of the Partnership , all with the goal of increasing the number of students who are on track to successfully graduate high school.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred in areas of Social Sciences, Education, Public Administration, Business, Counseling or related field plus five or more years' experience in formal leadership position with community-based organizations and educational institutions. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Successful experience in strategic planning, staff development, budgeting, project management, public speaking. Excellent relationship building, communication and organizational skills required.
