Grantmaking Program Areas: Google Grants In-kind Advertising

Grantmaking Program Area Descriptions:

Google Grants In-kind Advertising: Google Grants is a unique in-kind advertising program that harnesses the power of its flagship advertising product, Google AdWords, to nonprofits seeking to inform and engage their constituents online.

Type of Funding/Funding Restrictions: Organizations awarded a Google Grant receive a free AdWords account from Google.com. These accounts do not have a set expiration date and there is no need to reapply. However Google AdWords is an online, advertiser-managed program. Organizations selected to receive a grant, should expect to commit time and effort into managing your campaigns and accounts can be canceeled if they are not actively managed. Grantees are also expected to respond to emails and surveys. See website for funding restricitons.

Application Instructions: Grant application instructions available online. Applications are more likely to be successful if organizations have a basic understanding of the Google AdWord program and the Google Grants Program Guidelines. Applicants will be asked to provide sample keywords, ad copy, and a brief statement about how your organization will benefit from participating in the Google Grants program.
