Federal Funding Freeze
The New Mexico Department of Justice has already joined 22 other states in challenging the President’s order through their own filing of a TRO to “restore funding for critical services.” Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham is “actively coordinating with the Attorney General’s office, state lawmakers, the New Mexico congressional delegation and officials in other states regarding President Trump’s executive orders and other actions in recent days” according to Source NM. Both of New Mexico’s U.S. Senators have issued statements condemning the Trump administration’s “unprecedented” actions.
