Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

New Mexico Wildlife Center needs volunteers in all areas: wildlife rehabilitation hospital, education programs, office help, and others. If you have time to give and a passion for wild animals and the environment, we can match you with a volunteer opportunity. Care for animals in our hospital or in our permanent collection; all we ask is four hours per week. The animals need you!

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

We treat 750 injured and orphaned wild animals each year in our animal hospital. Our educators meet with more than 5,000 students every year, teaching them about wildlife and science. We also have locals and tourists visiting almost every day of the year, learning about native New Mexico wildlife.

Nonprofit Will Provide: 

We will provide all the training you need to learn how to care for wildlife in our hospital or in our education programs. We have a very experienced staff who are very positive and committed to our volunteer crew!

Additional Requirements: 

Volunteers will need to have their own transportation, and will need to be prepared to learn a lot and have a very fulfilling experience!
