Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
The board of directors is responsible for:
• strategic and organizational planning
• ensuring strong fiduciary oversight and financial management
• fundraising and resource development
• selecting and evaluating the performance of the CEO/executive director
• assessing its own performance as the governing body of TCC
• serving as active advocates and ambassadors for the organization and fully engaging in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for TCC to advance its mission
• leveraging connections, networks, and resources to fully achieve TCC's mission
• giving a meaningful personal financial donation
• preparing for, attending, and participating in board meetings and committees
• following the organization’s bylaws, policies, and resolutions
• signing an annual conflict-of-interest disclosure
• maintaining confidentiality about all internal matters of TCC
