Dates Volunteer is Needed:
Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
The Stamp Out Hunger food drive is back after a two-year hiatus due to all things pandemic. The National Association of Letter Carriers and the US Postal Service will be collecting food items left out at mailboxes on Saturday May 14. The food collected in Albuquerque benefits Roadrunner Food Bank. We are encouraging community members to get involved by volunteering and donating food the day of the event. Currently we are seeking volunteers to help at 11 post offices in the Albuquerque area.
For more information about registering to help, individuals and families can register at www.rrfb.org/cervis. Group volunteers interested in helping should email [email protected] or call 505.349.5358 to reserve your volunteer slot at a post office location.
Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project:
Roadrunner® Food Bank provides food to children, seniors, families, and adults. Individuals receive our support across the state through our over 500 member partners, including food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, schools, and senior centers, among others.
