Dates Volunteer is Needed:
Monday-Saturday, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM daily
Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
Warehouse volunteers are trained to check, clean, label, sort, repack, and box food items, which will then be made available to our partner agencies for distribution in New Mexico. Minimum age for warehouse volunteering is 8 years. Children and teens between 8 and 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Warehouse volunteers should be able to lift up to 20 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time. Volunteers should be in relatively good health to perform tasks that may be physically demanding, such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and reaching. We are a fully functioning food warehouse, so volunteers may be working near large equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project:
Roadrunner Food Bank sorts, cleans, labels, and packs food to be distributed to our partner agencies, who in turn distribute the food to hungry New Mexicans.
