Richard Williams Guerrero

Richard Williams Guerrero is a seasoned professional with over ten years of experience in project management and business development, with a strong focus on business operations, organizational strategy, and grassroots change. He has a rich background working with organizations such as USAID, the Peace Corps, Microsoft, Albuquerque Social Club, and various think tanks, where he honed his skills in strategic planning, cross-cultural communication, private and public partnerships, and operational leadership.

Richard brings extensive international experience, having lived and worked in Peru, Colombia, Wales, England, and Hong Kong. These global experiences have shaped his collaborative, inclusive approach to systems-building and community empowerment. He holds a master’s degree in International Relations from Aberystwyth University in Wales—home to the world’s first international relations department.

Now lovingly rooted in New Mexico, Richard is committed to deepening his ties to the local community and driving impact for years to come. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding when the weather allows, hiking in the high desert, practicing yoga, and exploring New Mexico’s vibrant food and coffee scene. Passionate about fostering sustainable development and bringing operational clarity to every project, Richard is a valuable addition to the Groundworks New Mexico team.
