Primary Programs:

Since 1976, AFSC New Mexico has identified with the struggles of local people to empower themselves, with particular attention to water and land use and the need to support traditional ways of life.

We bring together farmers, ranchers, food distributors, processors, and buyers to identify barriers and solutions in the New Mexico food system so that more local food can be accessible in our own region or bioregions. We provide trainings and technical support to beginning farmers.

We work on state and federal policy to support sustainable agriculture and farmers of color.
