To create a dynamic fusion of film, music, and education where groundbreaking films, live performances, and career development panels unite to create an unforgettable cultural experience, sparking connections and inspiring creativity for generations.

Primary Programs:

The Albuquerque Film & Music Experience (AFMX) is an annual festival and year-round nonprofit organization that blends film, music, and education through screenings, live performances, workshops, artist talks, career development panels, and community events. AFMX connects students, emerging artists, industry professionals, and audiences through accessible cultural programming that supports creative education, workforce development, and artistic collaboration throughout New Mexico. Programs include filmmaker and musician panels, educational outreach, youth engagement initiatives, networking opportunities, and partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and local businesses.

Other Programs:

Additional programming includes free community screenings, educational pilot programs for Albuquerque and New Mexico students, mentorship opportunities, industry networking events, artist development initiatives, internships, workshops, sponsorship collaborations, and community partnerships that support New Mexico’s growing film and music industries. AFMX also hosts cultural conversations and special events designed to strengthen Albuquerque’s creative economy and provide access to professional pathways in film, music, and the arts.
