Mission Statement:
Empowering kids by teaching them to recognize, prevent, and stop all forms of abuse, neglect, and bullying.
Primary Programs:
The program utilizes an evidence-based curriculum that involves two, 30-45 minute, interactive, age-appropriate lessons per age/grade level for children in kindergarten through 8th grade. Children typically are engaged and enthusiastic about sharing thoughts and ideas.
Other Programs:
Kids Empowered also offer free, 30-60 minute staff trainings for community centers or other group working with children, which covers the importance of their role as safe grown-ups to the kids in their care, how to recognize signs of abuse and neglect, and how to report suspected maltreatment.
