Mission Statement:

The Educational Opportunity Centers program at the University of New Mexico was founded in 2002 under the Division of Student Affairs. The UNM Educational Opportunity Center Program (EOC-TRiO) aspires, in partnership with community partners, to positively change people’s lives through educational opportunities. Our goal is to provide the academic foundation necessary for our participants to reach their true potential and pursue a higher education.

We are dedicated to serve our participants under a safe environment with the understanding that diversity of gender, physical or mental ability, culture, socioeconomic status, and background are strengths to be respected at all times.

Creating education opportunities step by step!

Primary Programs:

Assisting low-income, first generation students and veterans who want to further their education. Secondary and post-secondary educational information is provided. Direct assistance filling out FAFSA, College Admissions to the desired college or university and Scholarship completion. Additional educational resources and referrals provided.
