Mission Statement:

We take neglected, abused, unwanted and abandoned horses throughout New Mexico and rehabilitate them, putting them in the best situation possible and bring them into their own.

Primary Programs:

We welcome volunteer help to care for and work with the horses. We offer varying levels to donate, including any monetary amount, sponsoring projects, and virtual adoptions. We offer trail ride packages of which the proceeds go to the rehab program. We also have merchandise for sale with proceeds benefitting the Tamaya Horse Rehab program. We offer corporate partnerships where groups can come to do: Group team building activities which can include working with wranglers to care for the horses, maintaining grounds and facilities, building additional structures for horses, group trail rides and rodeos or adopting and naming a horse for your organization with updates provided to your company.

Other Programs:

During the summer we hold weekly Rodeos where you will enjoy an authentic western-style rodeo with barrel racing, roping, riding and a rowdy good time at The Stables at Tamaya. Proceeds from the small entry fee benefits the Tamaya Horse Rehabilitation program.

We also have started a Second Hand Store where donated items are sold at reasonable prices with all proceeds going directly to the Rehab program.
