Provide the most extensive source for logs and well files for both the New Mexico portion of the Permian and San Juan Basins. NMEL has extensive statewide coverage of sample logs and sample descriptions, mud logs, core analysis. DST's and paleontology reports.

The organization provides a facility for a public library for the specialized collection and preservation of geological, geophysical, and petroleum engineering data.
