Students of all ages and abilities participate in our program with the ultimate goal of learning to ride as independently as possible, gaining enhanced self-confidence from their accomplishments.

School Outreach Program
Designed for under-served, low-income students with disabilities (including developmental delay, Down Syndrome, ADHD, autism, etc.) from participating Santa Fe schools. NMCTR’s PATH Certified Instructors coordinate with the teachers to develop a lesson plan each week that will incorporate classroom learning. This is an eight-week program.

Self Mastery Program
Equine assisted learning program for at-risk youth (ptsd, childhood trauma, substance abuse, suicidal, teen pregnancy) that consists of unmounted activities with horses that provides opportunities for youth to practice emotional self-regulation, energy management, and physical awareness. Horses provide immediate feedback to youth regarding emotional states and arousal levels.

Therapeutic Riding Lessons

Other Programs:

They come once a week for five hours and assist the School Outreach Program (assist the children with special needs), assist in horse care, develop fundraising ideas, assist in barn maintenance and management, and assist in horse exercising and training.
