Read to Me! Albuquerque Kicks Off Annual Book Drive

Goal: 60,000 Books by March 31st.

Albuquerque needs children’s books for it’s 14th annual “Read to Me” Book Drive. The goal of the book drive is to collect 60,000 new and gently used books for children from low-income families.

Certainly the public library is a great place to get books, but having books of your own is a great confidence builder for a lot of kids - Deborah Hassi, Albuquerque Library Youth Services Manager

The city-wide book drive begins Tuesday and runs through the end of March. Donate online or at the following locations:

  • Public Libraries
  • Applebee’s
  • Barnes and Noble
  • Bookworks
  • Holiday Park
  • Chick-fil-A
  • John Brooks Supermart
  • La Montanita Natural Foods Coop
  • Taylor Rancho Community Centers
