NOMINATIONS OPEN FOR THE 2011 AWARDS BANQUET
National Philanthropy Day® is the special day set aside to recognize and pay tribute to the great contributions that philanthropy and those people active in the philanthropic community have made to our lives, our communities and our world. Over 50,000 people around the world will participate in NPD events and celebrations. This year the Association of Fundraising Professionals, New Mexico chapter will be celebrating the achievements of philanthropists from throughout New Mexico on Friday, November 18, 2011 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Albuquerque.
We're counting on you to help make this celebration a success by identifying and nominating those who exemplify the spirit of philanthropy!
Award categories available for your nominations are:
* OUTSTANDING BUSINESS/CORPORATION IN PHILANTHROPY
* OUTSTANDING VOLUNTEER FUNDRAISER
* 3 OUTSTANDING LEADERS IN PHILANTHROPY
1 in each region:
CENTRAL: Bernalillo, Torrance, Valencia,Sandoval Counties
NORTH: Counties above I-40
SOUTH: Counties below I-40
* OUTSTANDING PHILANTHROPIC FOUNDATION or SERVICE ORGANIZATION
* OUTSTANDING FUNDRAISING PROFESSIONAL
* OUTSTANDING FAMILY IN PHILANTHROPY
* 4 OUTSTANDING YOUTH IN PHILANTHROPY (YIP): Elementary, Middle, High School and a Collaboration Award
Part of our mission is to grow opportunities with statewide philanthropic organizations and supporters, such as the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network. The YNPN promotes an efficient, viable and inclusive nonprofit sector that supports the growth, learning and development of young professionals in their 20s and 30s. YNPN - Central New Mexico presents awards at National Philanthropy Day to recognize the work and commitment of outstanding young professionals in the New Mexico nonprofit sector.
