New Mexico Foundation Launches the Native American Recovery Fund Zone Grant

The New Mexico Foundation, in partnership with Groundworks NM, local, regional and national foundations, and other partners, announces the Native American Recovery Fund Zone Grant, a unique funding opportunity that seeks to support Native-led recovery projects in the following areas: Family Economic Security, Health Systems, Local Food Systems, Opportunity Youth, and Water Resilience.

The innovative “zone grant” structure allows Foundations to align their funding in a way that supports their individual missions while creating new levels of flexibility for grantees and the centering of community voice in grant making and strategy development. Funders will partner and build new relationships with Native American leaders and Tribes to broaden their perspectives and approaches to funding Indigenous communities.

The New Mexico Foundation has published a Request for Proposals (RFP) inviting Native-led organizations across the state to apply. Please visit the New Mexico Foundation website to learn more and view the RFP.
