Do You Know What Your Project Will Be?
It's not too early for your greater Albuquerque nonprofit to post your "special" project for this year's Make a Difference Day (MDD)! MDD is scheduled for Friday, October 23rd. and/or Saturday, October 24th.
For the last 24 years, millions of volunteers across the nation have united with a common mission - to improve the lives of others in their communities.
This largest day of community service, created by a USA Today initiative and backed by the Gannett Company in Collaboration with Points of Light, is performed in every city and every state across America.
Nearly a Decade Later...and Counting
Albuquerque has participated in this annual event since 2005. Each year interest and participation grows as more and more of our neighbors are helped. Projects are created and made available to volunteers for sign up, such as:
- Collection Drives
- Food, Clothing and Personal Items
- Open Space Clean Up
- Keep Our Parks Beautiful
- Computer Labs
- Built for Elementary Schools
- Everything in between
