Free Webinar: The Landscape of Gender Justice in New Mexico

Groundworks is proud to partner with NewMexicoWomen.Org to bring their powerful report to a statewide audience. On July 22 from 12-1:30, join report leads Dr. Fatima van Hattum and Elsa López as they share their work and open up a forum for discussion of the important topics it touches.

This exhaustive report is the latest research from NMW.O produced in collaboration with the Center for Social Policy at the University of New Mexico. At a time when data and research are being erased or defunded, the report is designed to guide long-term, community-rooted investments in the well-being, safety, and power of women, girls, and LGBTQ+ New Mexicans.

With reproductive health and gender affirming care protections, universal childcare, free college tuition, and a state legislature comprised of 52.7% women legislators, New Mexico continues to serve as a national model. These policies were secured through decades of advocacy and coalition building by many of NMW.O grantee partners who rely on accurate data to identify gaps and craft policies. Their work ensures women, girls, and LGBTQ+ New Mexicans have access to the resources, agency, and joy they deserve.
