Kristi Dorr is the executive director of Groundworks New Mexico, the statewide organization charged with connecting, strengthening, and advocating for New Mexico's social sector. Kristi is a licensed attorney and published author with over twenty years of experience in nonprofit management and law. Leveraging her diverse leadership experience, Kristi oversees execution of Groundworks' vision and mission with a keen focus on the core values of racial equity, collaboration, community, and impact.

Kristi holds a Juris Doctor from Vermont Law School, a Master of Resource Law Studies from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado at Denver. Kristi's informal education includes living and working abroad (Scotland, France, and Belgium) and volunteering with refugee and children's organizations.

Kristi is a 12th generation settler to live in New Mexico. Kristi resides on the unceded ancestral lands of the Southern Tiwa People. Kristi acknowledges that the Tiwa speaking Nations have stewarded the Middle Rio Grande, through time immemorial, and continue to foster the cultural and economic life of this area. Kristi is committed to environmental stewardship, truth and reconciliation, and working against present-day colonialism. In her free time, Kristi enjoys arts and culture, culinary adventures, reading, gardening, and libraries of the world.
