Veterinary Technician/Wildlife Rehabilitator

Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Conduct in-house rehabilitation and work with veterinarians and home-based rehabilitators. Participate in rescues, transportation and re-nesting efforts. Assist with hotline calls. Be flexible enough to handle the seasonality of wildlife rehabilitation. Some night and/or weekend work required. Maintain WRMD medical database. Manage state/federal permit reporting.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Interact well with volunteers and other nonprofit organizations and government agencies. Work hand-in-hand with our social media team to provide images and stories. Some operations are onsite with some remote work on a case-by-case basis. Company vehicles may be available.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Three years veterinary technician/wildlife rehabilitation under veterinary supervision. One year managing volunteers in an animal treatment setting. Intermediate/advanced wildlife rehabilitation skills including handling, nutrition, physical exam, injections, gavage feeding, and subcutaneous fluid administration Excellent interpersonal skills and must work well in a team setting. Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
