Main Areas of Responsibility:
Environmental Justice is a core focus of SWOP and intersects with our other work areas. SWOP’s Environmental Justice Organizer will continue the work of longstanding campaigns, and will have the opportunity to pursue new campaigns and issues. Areas of interest include but are not limited to:
Air and water quality, quantity and access
Land sovereignty and protection
Extractive and energy industries
Nuclear chain in NM
Environmental impacts on communities of color
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Ensure all activities are carried out in line with Mission Statement and with the involvement of membership.
Adhere to Staff Responsibilities Statement.
Work with the membership and staff to develop and implement strategic plans for campaigns, program efforts and organizational development.
Involvement in overall SWOP campaigns and program efforts.
Work to conduct regular system of reporting back to staff and membership and incorporating membership into campaigns.

Salary Range:
$42,000 plus benefits, including health, vision, dental, and 401k.
