Preschool Substitute Teacher

Type of Job: 
Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

You will lead the classroom in the absence of the teacher and be responsible for providing instruction and managing the learning environment of children from birth to 5-years of age. 
You are a strong presence in the classroom and able to supervise and monitor the safety of children at all times. 
You will interact positively with children and encourage appropriate behaviors through positive guidance and problem solving.

Other Information/Requirements: 

High School diploma or GED and willing to work towards obtaining a HELPNM Substitute Certificate or attending the ECECD 45-hour early childhood course or registering for the Child Development Associate (CDA) program.  
Some experience working with young children is preferred.
First Aid/CPR Certified and Food Hander’s Certification or willing to obtain within the first 6-months of employment is required.
Health Determination/TB Skin Test and Fingerprint Background Check prior to employment
