Part Time Grant Writer

Job Description
Type of Job: 
Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

• Researching and tracking grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and other funders
• Writing, editing, and submitting grant proposals and required supporting materials
• Collaborating with NHI staff to gather programmatic, budgetary, and outcome information
• Managing grant timelines and submission deadlines

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Attend biweekly NHI staff meetings
• Any other tasks as appropriate and delegated by the Executive Director.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Must be 18 years of age and be willing and able to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Demonstrated experience in grant research and writing
• Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with nonprofit or mission-driven organizations and Indigenous communities preferred
The Grant Writer position is an hourly position that may work more hours during certain times of year than others. At this time, we estimate 10 hours per week.
