Native Agriculture & Food Systems Investments Program Associate

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

This role is integral in supporting the Native Agriculture & Food Systems Investments program staff in administration & implementation of projects. Responsibilities may include coordination of internal & external virtual meetings, participation in site visits or convenings, grantee & consultant communications, participation in internal grant reviews, developing consultant agreements, coordinating travel arrangements, updating meeting notes, performing data entry in Airtable, & organizing files.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Build & maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, partners, grantees, & stakeholders in alignment with organizational values.
Travel as needed for program-related activities.
Model & advance First Nations’ Mission, Vision, & Guiding Principles by delivering community-centered service, fostering a diverse, equitable, & inclusive workplace where staff members feel a sense of belonging & intentionally integrating these values into daily interactions with staff & meetings with community partners.

Other Information/Requirements: 

MIN. REQUIREMENTS
Associates degree or additional 2+ years relevant experience
1+ year relevant experience working at a nonprofit or Tribal organization
Ability to quickly learn software/database systems
Strong interpersonal/communication skills
Ability to work both independently/collaboratively with a remote team
Strong organizational/administrative skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks/deadlines
Effective problem-solving/analytical skills
Experience with virtual meeting/presentation platforms
