Major Gifts Officer

Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsible for growing major gifts, planned giving, corporate sponsorships, and donor engagement. Develops cultivation and stewardship strategies, plans fundraising events and campaigns, expands the donor pipeline, analyzes fundraising results, and supports Santa Fe Botanical Garden’s overall Advancement and Development goals.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Perform other duties as assigned; participate in staff meetings, trainings, workdays, and Garden events; represent the Garden professionally with members, donors, and the public; and pursue ongoing professional development through approved conferences, certifications, seminars, and continuing education aligned with organizational goals and job responsibilities.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; fundraising certification preferred. Minimum five years of successful major gifts fundraising in a nonprofit setting. Excellent communication, organization, analytical, and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated, strategic, adaptable, collaborative, detail-oriented, and committed to the Garden’s mission with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity
