Main Areas of Responsibility:
New Mexico Legal Aid seeks a paralegal for its Statewide Housing Stability program to assist with serving eligible clients threatened with loss of their housing. Responsibilities will be statewide. Due to the range of service area, this position may be housed in any of NMLA's statewide office locations, but there is preference for the Albuquerque office in order to work closely with the Statewide Housing Stability Manager.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Under the supervision of the managing attorney for the Housing Stability project at NMLA, the paralegal will be responsible for litigation support and assistance to housing attorneys in issues such as eviction prevention, habitability, reasonable accommodations, subsidized housing, and other housing related work, and will also assist in designing statewide clinics and outreach programs.
