Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Coordinator supports the management, digitization, and accessibility of the Garden's herbarium collection and archival materials, and the documentation, preservation, and sharing of biodiversity information for the herbarium and living collections. Includes hands-on work with specimen processing, cataloging and database management, imaging, georeferencing, research support, and public engagement.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Maintains the collection’s organization, workflows, accuracy, and accessibility, supporting research and educational activities. Enters, updates, and manages specimen data in the database, maintaining accuracy and integrity and supporting access to collection information. Assists with imaging collection materials and maintains associated digital records and files. Develops, updates, and implements collection policies, workflows, and protocols in coordination with the Director of Science and Conservation.
