Facilities Maintenance Staff

Type of Job: 
Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Maintain the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of buildings, gardens, grounds, and equipment. Perform inspections, repairs, cleaning, snow removal, and event setup while supporting facility operations and emergency response. Supervise volunteers and collaborate with staff. Part-time (20 hours/week), including evenings and weekends for public events.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Clean and maintain indoor spaces, coordinate repairs with contractors, manage maintenance supplies and equipment, support event setup and breakdown, perform minor construction and electrical repairs, empty waste receptacles, collaborate across departments, and complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Horticulture.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Education Requirement:
High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience in Facilities Management, Facilities Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field.

Experience Requirement:
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or a related field.
Experience with irrigation and plumbing systems, electrical, HVAC, and construction is highly desirable.
