Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Museum of New Mexico Foundation seeks a Director of Leadership Giving to lead development activities for the New Mexico History Museum and New Mexico Historic Sites. This role manages trustee and major gift programs, cultivates and solicits high-level donors, develops stewardship and engagement strategies, partners with museum and site leadership, and advances fundraising priorities through events, campaigns, grants, and legacy giving.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The Museum of New Mexico Foundation supports the Museum of New Mexico system, in collaboration with the Museum of New Mexico Board of Regents and the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs. The Foundation’s principal activities are fund development for exhibitions and education programs, retail and licensing programs, financial management, advocacy and special initiatives.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of development experience, or equivalent education and experience. Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, organizational, fundraising, budgeting, and strategic planning skills. Excellent attention to detail and written/verbal communication. Public speaking ability. Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus strong digital marketing skills.

Salary Range: 
$71,750-$75,000 annually
