Job DescriptionType of Job: Full-TimeMain Areas of Responsibility: The Director of Development will lead efforts to achieve major gift, capital campaign, and annual fundraising goals emphasizing individual contributions. The position works closely with NMWC leadership, staff, Board members, and friends to create and steward high level major gift relationships. We seek a dynamic, fearless, results-oriented professional with a demonstrated record of successful fundraising and a love for New Mexico’s wildlife and philanthropy. Additional Areas of Responsibility: What’s Required to Make a Difference at NMWC: Identify, invite, and steward contributions from major donors including individuals, corporations, and foundations, through in person or virtual communication. Experience with capital campaigns, naming opportunities, engaging donors in lifetime giving, and meaningful timely recognition of donors at all levels. Educate, inspire, and support senior management and Board with respect to fundraising. Other Information/Requirements: Required Minimum Education and Experience: Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution. Five or more years of successful fundraising and development experience.
