Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Development Officer supports the Albuquerque Community Foundation’s mission by building its endowment and securing significant individual gifts. This role focuses on cultivating and stewarding long-term relationships with donors and professional advisors. Reporting to the VP of Development, the position offers significant autonomy, limited administrative duties, and an emphasis on relationship-building, donor engagement, and closing gifts.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Collaborates across the Development team and Foundation-wide initiatives to support fundraising and donor engagement. Prepares reports and analyzes fundraising trends to inform strategy. Represents the Foundation at community events and networking opportunities, builds awareness and relationships, stays informed about community needs, and actively practices learning around diversity, equity, and inclusion.
