Board Member — Finance & Treasurer Track

Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Provide board-level financial oversight by reviewing budgets, monthly financial reports, cash flow, reserves, material variances, internal controls, and audit/accounting matters. Help the board ask informed financial questions and understand financial risks. This is an oversight role, not bookkeeping.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Participate in monthly board meetings, review materials in advance, support strategic planning and fundraising, help strengthen policies and controls, and assist with board recruitment. The right candidate may later consider serving as Treasurer after learning the organization.

Casa Milagro is a safe, trusting, and nurturing community for unhoused adults with a mental health diagnosis that makes maintaining housing difficult. Each of our twelve residents has a private bedroom in a large home with ample common spaces: living room, dining room, art studio, activity room, shady portals, and landscaped yards. The house is designed to balance privacy and community, giving and receiving companionship and support.
