Main Areas of Responsibility:
Medical Assistants at Casa de Salud assist with providing primary care in an environment that is especially responsive to low-income, Spanish-speaking and marginalized residents of Albuquerque, Los Lunas, and surrounding communities. They clinicians to provide high quality healthcare to clients, as well as support clinic flow and patient communications. They work with patients dealing with opioid use disorder as well as with those seeking gender-affirming care and harm reduction services.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Assists with clinic flow coordination, teaching health apprentices various clinical skills and professionalism skills, being a role model and mentor, navigating weekly staffing, giving apprentices constructive feedback, supporting clinicians, supporting those seeking harm reduction services, representing Casa de Salud at events, helping to recruit new apprentices, and helping to create new systems in the clinic.
Salary Range:
$23 per hour- $24 per hour
