Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The primary role of the VISTA member will be to represent United Way of Central New Mexico's "Mission: Graduate" initiative at community meetings and events in our efforts to recruit new partners to support and engage in Mission: Graduate’s collaborative projects.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The VISTA will also lend his or her coordination, communication, and outreach skills to assist in developing marketing and communication materials to support Mission: Graduate’s collaborative projects and collaborating with our staff to enhance and distribute resources. Additionally, the VISTA will provide project-related support for our Collaborative Action Networks in the form of meeting logistics, project-related task completion, and regular communication with Network and Council members.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Required Qualifications:
• Interest in or personal commitment to education and community development.
• Professionalism, strong written and verbal communication skills, and strong inter-personal skills.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in education, communication, marketing, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Background and experience in education, community development, communication and marketing, or a related field.
