Main Areas of Responsibility:
Provide guidance and educational services to students; meet regularly to review academic progress and develop goals regarding their academic challenges and college aspirations. Provide participants with academic advising and planning; career awareness and assessment; information about post-secondary options, college entrance examinations, and financial aid; assist with the college application process.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Work with students on financial aid applications; chaperone students on field trips and activities outside of normal working hours; work on summer programming; monitor grades and course registration to ensure students remain in good academic standing; document student participation and maintain student program files.
Bachelor’s degree required; experience overcoming barriers similar to those confronting the target population preferred. Valid NM driver’s license, reliable transportation. Must pass APS background check.
